Picture It Framed By John, Abergavenny - Custom Framing At Affordable Prices

Picture It Framed by John, is a custom picture framing shop located in the
picturesque market town of Abergavenny. It is run by John, who prior to opening
Picture It Framed, Abergavenny in 2011, worked at Brynmawr Frame Centre
and also Merthyr Frame Centre after leaving Swansea University in 2007.

We offer a full custom framing service, and frame all items ranging from
photos to needle work, and oil paintings to rugby jerseys. Literally anything can be
framed in a variety of different techniques.

We keep up to date with all the newest framing techniques, including 'floating
frames for canvas' & extra deep bevel mounts (see image below) all made in house.

We can frame items to conservation and museum level (the highest level of protection available in framing), and can handle items that are larger than the average picture.

We use a range of framing materials, including Wood, Aluminium & Polcore frames. Wood mouldings are sourced from companies who purchase their timber from sustainable sources and reforestation projects.

Picture It Framed, By John have been keen to keep up to date with the latest methods and materials available for framing. One such material is Polcore, an affordable alternative to wood. Made out of high quality synthetic material, it is both light and also durable. In tests of this new material customers were unable to distinguish the finish from a real wood. Polcore is also resistant to rot & woodworm which can ruin a traditional wooden frame.

We stock 2mm float glass & Non-reflective glass (etched). However we can also supply UV filtering glass, Waterwhite Glass, Perspex/Acrylic, Toughened Glass and the Ultimate - "Museum Glass" which is 'invisible glass' but still blocks 99% of UV light.
